Organizers of WSCC 2025 are pleased to announce on 1st November multi talented chess player and singer Nathan Resika will perform at event final celebration hosted at Schipa theatre of Gallipoli.
Nathan was born a raised in a family of artists in New York, he studied singing and classical guitar, attending the New England Conservatory and the Longy School. He is a FIDE (World Chess Federation) master and shared the title of US Senior Chess Champion in 2013.
He is known both as a bass soloist in the world of opera and as a quality chess player.
Nathan has had a prolific career as an opera singer and concert performer. He has worked with several opera companies and has been an artist-in-residence at various festivals.
He often performs private and public events with or without noted pianists and others. He has been praised for his “sonorous”and”resonant” voice by critics and colleagues alike as both a classic basso cantante and an interpreter of modern works.
His favorite repertoire includes the great bass roles of both Verdi and Mozart, of which he has sung almost all.
Whether the role is a leading or supporting role, Nathan has developed a reputation for meticulous preparation, attention to detail, and thoughtful interpretation.
