Dear FIDE WSCC 2025 Players,
FIDE WSCC 2025 will start very soon; we take this chance to thank you for joining event and spend with us 11 rounds and 13 amazing days…playing chess and get fun!
As organizers all our WSCC 2025 team worked and is still working hard to make it great!
We would like to recommend all players to topics as follows:
- All info and updates will be always reported promptly on official website…please look it quite regularly: www.worldseniorchampionship2025.com
- In few days a WhatsApp group, just focused on WSCC 2025, will be active and published on official website. This is mainly created to information, keep you updated and support transfers, not to chat or to book any sightseeing. Every day during event it will be active from 8.30 am to 9.30 pm. After this hour for any support or emergency please contact reception of your hotel.
- On 20th October Mrs. Polina Moskvina who is responsible for “Transfers & Logistic”, administrator of whats’s app group and speaks fluently 4 different languages (Italian, English etc.) will be at Brindisi airport full day. She will be there to welcome you and support and catching shuttle bus you are booked on. Brindisi airport is pretty and small so you will see her when you are right out of gates. If you don’t see her immediately don’t get panic and please don’t leave airport venue for any reason. You are on her list so she will look for you!
- As concern group transfers your official hotel will be informed when WSCC shuttle bus leaves Brindisi airport. So they look forward to your arrival in approx 1 hour.
- WSCC 2025 official hotels already planned a cold dinner for everyone booked there and coming after 10.00 pm on 20th October
- Technical meeting on 21st October morning is not compulsory, but suggested: you can attend it phisically at Ecoresort Le Sirenè Hotel (200mt. far from WSCC 2025 chess venue) or from remote by your laptop or mobile phone ( we will share link to join on Zoom and also separate a code to get access)
Last but not least SIGHTSEEING!
As you probably already know we organised 4 different excursions to “Gallipoli Old Town” (morning on 22nd October), “Lecce Baroc” (morning on 24th October), “Poilignano by the sea” (full day on 27th October) and Otranto (morning, on 29th October).
All of them need to be booked on official website at least 3 days in advance. This is required to provide you and English guide and best arrangement so we strongly recommend to join as soon on official website: https://www.worldseniorchampionship2025.com/sightseeing-tours/
The most urgent is definitely the first one scheduled on 23rd in the morning to sightseeing Gallipoli wonderful old town. Deadline is on 19th October so you have only 5 days left to join it!
